German Heer General Visor Cap with Anti-Gas Eye Shields.
This type of cap was worn by German Field Marshall Erwin Rommel during North Africa campaign in World War 2.
These iconic, so called "Rommel Goggles" were actually British Anti-Gas Eye Shields, Type MK II or MK III. These goggles were originally made as anti gas eye-shields. They were also used as sun and sand goggles. These unique, protective wrap around goggles became quite popular with Rommels troops.
